SETTLEMENT

Ammouliani: This is the only settlement on the island in which the old church of Agios Georgios and the central church of Agios Nikolaos, built in 1865, stand out. It is also worth seeing the arsana (small shipbuilding unit of Byzantine origin) with its Agioritean architecture, which adorns the port of the island. A kindergarten and a primary school operate in Ammouliani.

BEACHES

Megali Ammos: a beach with turquoise waters and a sandy beach that will captivate you.

Karagatsia: beach "hidden" in a small bay. It has crystal clear green waters and a sandy beach.

Agios Georgios: beach with blue hues near the settlement. Its sandy beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing.

Alikes: beach with a long sandy beach and turquoise waters.

Porto Agio: beautiful beach with crystal clear waters that also has a blue flag.

Other smaller but equally beautiful beaches are Glastri, Skalakia, Akro, Kalopigado, Maganopigado, Kaminaki, Faka and Tratovoli.
