DIVING TOURISM

The sunken ship Thor Star coming from Syria crashed due to rough seas on the rocks of Pserimos on the eastern coast. This wreck, located at a depth of 20 meters, is a place of exploration for many divers. Also, diving enthusiasts can explore the two German ships sunk at the northern and southern ends of the Plati island, which carried munitions in 1944.

HIKING TOURISM

HISTORICAL TOURISM

– The small church of Panagia Grafiotissa that stands right on the coast.

– Traces of early Christian basilicas of the 5th AD. c, architectural members (braced columns, shields, capitals, pessicles, pulpit shields, iconostasis pillars) can be found in the present-day churches of Taxiarch Michael in Letri, of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the settlement in the cemetery, and in the places of Agios Konstantinos and Panagia Grafiotissa.

– Remains of walls, sherds of utilitarian vessels, parts of Hellenistic altars and some scattered architectural members in the settlement.

MARINE TOURISM

– Marine explorations on the neighbouring islet of Plati, which is located 6 stades southwest of Pserimos, where only two people live.

FESTIVALS

The only festival of Pserimos is that of Panagia, which takes place in the Church of the Dormition of Panagia, on August 15.
